The driver fitness seminar (FES, Fahreignungsseminar) is a voluntary seminar for drivers who have collected points in the driver fitness register (Flensburg). If you have between 1 and 5 points and take part in the FES, 1 point is removed from your record.
The FES makes particular sense with 4 or 5 points, because from 6 points you face a warning and from 8 points your licence is revoked. Take the opportunity to reduce a point early on and stay on the safe side.

The FES is classroom only, there is no driving. You sign up through us as your driving school. Once you have finished, you receive a certificate of attendance. You hand it in to the driving licence authority, which then deletes 1 point from the driver fitness register.
Frequently asked questions about the FES
Successfully taking part in the FES deletes 1 point from the driver fitness register. That may not sound like much, but it can make all the difference: with 4 or 5 points it moves you clearly away from the critical limits (6 points: warning, 8 points: licence revoked).
You can take part in the FES if you have no more than 5 points in the driver fitness register at the time of the seminar. From 6 points you can still take part, but no point will be removed. So it pays to act early.
The FES has two parts: the traffic education part with 2 sessions of 90 minutes each here at the driving school, and the traffic psychology part with 2 sessions of 75 minutes each with a traffic psychologist. There is no driving, the FES is classroom only. You sign up through the driving school.

With 6 points in the driver fitness register, you receive a warning from the driving licence authority. The same applies with 7 points: nothing is ordered and you do not have to attend any other seminar either. With 8 points, your driving licence is revoked.
